COMING SOON TO AN EREADER NEAR YOU
First: If you’re seeing this because you clicked here from an email: YOU’RE IN!!!
No need to do one more thing, click one more link. Nothing.
You’ve been tagged to receive updates already.
So what’s this all about?
I’ve been taking my time writing something new. OK. I’ve been writing multiple somethings new.
I love so many genres as a reader, and as you know, can’t seem to settle completely into one as a writer. This one’s a sort of mashup: a little Arthurian legend, a little dystopian and post-apocalyptic, a little urban fantasy, a little romance…
You get the picture.
I have no hard release date yet, mostly because I’d like to have the first TWO books ready to launch at the same time with half of the third done.
That means if you love it, you won’t have to wait.
It also means you’ll have to wait before it’s published. But fear not. I have a plan.
One that lets you read as it goes. Each week, you’ll get dribs and drabs as well as updates as it evolves.
Right up to the point when it’s launched.
If you’re not already in The Tribe, you can still apply for this advance content.
Today, the first drib/drab is the book cover and book description. The rest of the installments will come through your email, with the subject line: Queen of Skye and Shadow.
That way you can quickly identify the story bits and updates from your other email. 🙂
Sword of Honor: Book One of Queen of Skye and Shadow
In the absence of a hero…
Do you take up the cause?
Or do you run for the hills?
A magic sword. A world divided. A legendary King. This is no Camelot and Skye is no Guinevere, but the world is dark and divided, and it does need a hero.
With the government burying itself in bunkers underground and technology lost to all but a sacred few, it seems hope of that hero grows dimmer. Skye has been waiting for a champion ever since brigands destroyed her home and sent her running into the hands of a despot.
…But that same despot is searching for a weapon of incredible magic.
 And he’s looking for Skye.
 Time is running out.
It’s time to act and Skye is ready to fight. Even if it means taking possession of a sword possessed of magic both terrible and frightening. A sword offered by a powerful sorcerer who wants to put it into her hands.
A sword that turns her into that hero.
But does she have what it takes to wield its power without losing herself to it? Or will her hesitation cost the nation in blood?
If you love stories reminiscent of the Arthurian legend but saturated with apocalyptic flavors of the future, you will want to give this a try.
