About this ebook

A witch who can't control her power, an enigmatic stranger who holds the key to her magic, and a gruff warrior who will stop at nothing to win her heart.

Alaysha is not an ordinary witch. She's an elemental, the only elemental witch of her kind. Or so she thinks. She is feared and outcast from her tribe because her magic is so strong, it can siphon a man's life-giving moisture dry in a single breath--and she can't control it.

Instead, she's used as a weapon by her war-mongering father.

But all that is about to change.

When he orders her to use her magic to slaughter an entire tribe, something unfamiliar stirs within her. She has killed for him before, but this time is different. This time, the targets are innocent and she knows it. She begins to question his authority and her own blind obedience. Her defiance uncovers a world of intrigue and latent powers buried for eons--and hints that she might be the key to unlocking its secrets.

Now the fate of that world is in her hands. If only she can stand against the nefarious men who would use her power for their own greedy means, she just might live to see it.

If a witch can't control her power, who will control her? Alaysha is a young witch with a terrible power, and her war-mongering father wants to control it. But magic with that kind of force isn’t easy to keep in check, especially when the power is too terrible for the witch who wields it. It makes her a thing to be feared, not loved. A thing to abhor, not embrace. It also makes her the perfect weapon because no one escapes her magic. And she'll do anything to win her father's love and acceptance. When he orders her to annihilate a neighboring village, someone finally escapes her deadly power. Someone handsome, arrogant, and mysterious. Someone who says he knows the secret to guiding her destructive magic. If Alaysha can master her powers, she might win the love and respect she desperately desires. She might be able to finally find hope of a future where she is in control instead of being controlled. But there is always a price to pay for such freedom and if she trusts this stranger to help, she might be putting everything she knows, including her heart, at risk. This was a superb read. The plot and story line are very good and original. The characters are well written and engaging. Was engaged from the start and once started didn't want to stop. Going to be getting the others in the series now. Recommend reading. I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
